Working 9 to 5

... as the legendary Dolly Parton sang. Yes, the rumours are true, I finally have a job! Today was my first day, and it was pretty good! Stuffing envelopes, wrestling paper jams out of printers, standard temp stuff.

For some reason I was in a truly weird mood afterwards. All sad and quiet and wanting something-but-I-don't-know-what. If anybody has a theory I'd be delighted to hear it; all I knew was that I felt down and even cuddles couldn't fix it. Probably just hormones, giving me the old leaky-eye.

Ah well, same again tomorrow no doubt.

  1. You ever hear the story about the woman who got itchy hands whenever God wanted her to pray? No amount of scratching helped, only praying did.

    Maybe (just maybe) there's something God wants you to do? Ask him. Couldn't hurt, right?

    Also, hugs from God seem to do wonders - ask him to help you feel better and explain why you felt that way in the first place?

    {/religious bit}

    Anywho, love you sister!

  2. y'know, you might be right. I'm not sure.

    And I swear I thought you were opening with a joke.

    I'm trying to think of a punchline for it now...

  3. I get that completely. Nice theory mike, and might try it, but I always blame it on having to be nice and happy when I'm at work, so to balance it out get mean and miserable when I get home. Pretending to be this chatty, confident person for the customers completely takes it out of me, and I become like that receptionist out of Thermoman at the end of the day.

    So... sympathy!

  4. punchline..... You ever hear the story about the woman who got itchy hands whenever God wanted her to pray? She ended up praying for hand-cream.
